Argentina Football World & Football de Tours

By November 11, 2011

Argentina Football WorldFriday Blog Spotlight: Argentina Football World

This week I was happy to include the profile for Football de Tours - a company that takes travelers on personalized football outings. These tours are run by two fellows who love, love, love football (soccer), Dan Colasimone and Sam Kelly. In fact, they both run football blogs, Argentina Football World and Hasta El Gol Siempre (respectively), and produce a podcast called The Hand of Pod.
Argentina Football World is designed to be a hub for anyone interested in the soccer in the homeland of Maradona and Messi. Find live scores, updated league tables, football news and features on the domestic game, Argentinians abroad and the national team written by editor Dan Colasimone and some top-class contributors.
Get the low down on up-and-coming talent in the 'Rising Star' section and have a chuckle at the top five lists in 'A Handful Of...'. Fans of Argentinian football need go no further.

I was travelling in Argentina and had to go and see a Boca game. I had heard all these stories about the Ultras and how impossible it is to get tickets and if you do get tickets off the street then it is probably a fake one.

I found an online company called BsAs4u who had football tours as they were cheaper than the hostels.

I booked one of their packages which included the transfer to and from the game which I am glad about as Boca does not feel like the safest area when on your own; a stadium tour; a free pizza and beer before the game and then tickets to the game. If you are going to South America, you need to see a football game at Boca Juniors, the atmosphere is electric there!
